Pelican is a very well maintained 2008 Island Packet 370 that was built to ABYC Standards right here in Florida. Island Packet Yachts was featured in Volume II of Ferenc Mate's renowned book "The Worlds Best Sailboats". Its superior craftsmanship and heavy build is obvious as soon as you step aboard, you won't be disappointed.
Your Cruise
Let us know what you are interested in seeing or doing and we can set up your cruise to your liking. We can spend all day away from the city or take a cruise up the Miami river to a restaurant. Reefs and wrecks are off shore so it requires a calm day with winds of less than 10 knots for it to be pleasant at those destinations. Over 10 knots of wind off shore and the waves quickly increase and visibility becomes poor below the surface for snorkeling. This boat is built to sail around the world in all weather, but you probably won't enjoy rough seas. Inside the bay we sail in winds of up to 30 knots. In very light wind we can slowly ghost along or if we have a destination in mind we can motor sail to make good time. Charter start time is flexible, let us know what works best for you and we will accommodate. For instance if you want a full day sail with the sunset included we can start at noon and end at 8:00 PM. Night sailing is very pleasant as well.
